Tricia Brock Madden has worked as a Director of Admissions for a private elementary school, as a Learning Specialist for high schoolers with learning differences, and as a teacher in both public and private schools.  As a consultant for Atlanta School Insight, her core goal is to help parents to engage in a thorough and enjoyable school search, ultimately resulting in their children enrolling in a school environment where they will thrive.  She believes that schools are about much more than academic training; a school signifies the community in which your family will be involved and the peer group in which your child will grow up.  Tricia is an Atlanta native and alumnus of The Lovett School and Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School.  Tricia received her Masters of Education from Georgia State University and earned a B.A. in Economics and Business and Environmental Studies from Colorado College. Tricia has taught elementary, middle, and high school at local public and private schools, including Trinity, The Lovett School, Sutton Middle School, South Cobb High School, and The Paideia School and served as the Director of Admissions at St. Benedict’s Episcopal Day School.  These combined education experiences in local public and private schools have helped her to develop valuable insight into the inner workings of a school.

Cindy Disher brings over 30 years of experience in the field of special education to ASI.  She realized her desire to serve young children with special needs in high school and upon graduation, pursued a degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Iowa State University.  While in Chicago, Cindy taught for 7 years as lead teacher for Northern Suburban Special Education District designing and coordinating individual education plans, OT, PT, and Speech/Language services for her preschool students who exhibited a wide range of learning challenges including autism, fragile X syndrome, Downs Syndrome, behavior disorders, sensory integration dysfunction, auditory processing, speech, language, fine and gross motor delays.  While teaching, Cindy obtained her Masters Degree in teaching children with Learning Disabilities from Northeastern Illinois University.

In 1992, Cindy's husband was promoted and transferred to Sacramento, California where she continued to raise three boys and was actively involved in their preschool and elementary experiences. A second transfer brought the Disher family back to Atlanta. They welcome their fourth son in 1997.  It was then that Cindy began her consulting business working directly with preschool aged children in the local schools. Since the beginning of her consulting career, Cindy has assisted dozens of families in finding the most appropriate educational setting for their child's unique set of challenges. Through formal classroom observations, Cindy is able to determine whether a child needs further evaluation and early intervention services. She is available to guide and assist families in finding the best services, therapies, and schools for their child and will provide continued and ongoing support for the family, child, and classroom teacher.  As a Learning Specialist, Cindy is available to complete teacher and classroom observations, providing feedback on ways the program can improve itself by emphasizing the importance of developmentally appropriate practice, the need for detailed lesson planning, classroom arrangement and it's impact on behavior, and teacher support and training.  All while accommodating students with special needs in the classroom.

Cindy is passionate about helping young children and in particular those with special needs.  She takes each child's circumstances personally and will ensure, through ASI, that the best possible educational path is suggested, explored, and realized!
